during a late night recording session at the baker hotel, 
a quick break was taken for cigarettes and coffee. 
after a few minutes, we returned to find unspooled tape flying out of our Nagra TRVR. 

we carefully collected the tape and checked our gear 
...which was emitting a dull green glow. 

we then recorded these sounds externally 
just before the tape disintegrated.

after a long day at coachella, 
johnny gasparini fell into a deep slumber. he dreamed of an 
after-party hosted by prince, where members of big audio dynamite 
and erykah badu's band came together to play the music of zz top 
late into the night. he awoke 
& reached out for the telegraphy music machine...
